Irish News Young Readers Project 2024

Our P6/7 class have signed up to complete the Irish News Young Readers newspaper project which runs for the next eight weeks. The project is specifically designed to develop pupils' critical literacy skills and introduce them to the world of news.

Each week each child receives their own newspaper and we carry out a range of different activities. This week the boys and girls had to look at the different features and vocabulary related to newspapers and see if they could find some of them in their newspaper. We are really enjoying this programme and can’t wait to explore the theme of ‘wellbeing’ next week.
