Messages for This Week

31st May 2026

We hope everyone had the opportunity to enjoy the fabulous weather over our week off. School returns tomorrow, Monday 1st June.

Primary 7’s second business venture is here!

As part of the Junior Entrepreneur Programme, Primary 7 are excited to launch their new business, Top of the Top.

From Monday 1st June, they will be selling pencils with animal toppers in school for £1.50 each.

Be sure to stop by and support our young entrepreneurs while picking up a fun new pencil topper!

On Monday, Primary 7 will be attending the Bee Safe event at Banbridge Parish Centre. They should come to school in full uniform and bring a snack. We will return to school in time for lunch as normal.

Primary 5 will be going on their Shared Education trip to the Palace Stables on Wednesday 3rd June. Children should wear their P.E. kit and are required to bring a packed lunch. Payment for the trip should be made in advance via the EZPayments App – many thanks.

Cycling Proficiency has now ended. We would like to congratulate all those who participated on their excellent effort and achievement.

Thursday begins a new 3-week block of Feeney’s after-school Gaelic. If you would like your child to take part, please send £12 cash per child in a sealed envelope, clearly marked with your child’s name. Correct change only, please.

We will be holding our annual Sports Day on Friday 5th (weather permitting). Further details will be provided during the week.

Our End of Year Mass will be held in St John’s Church on Tuesday 9th June at 10.30am. P7 pupils are required to wear their full school uniform for this event.

This will not only mark the end of the school year, but also celebrate our P7 leavers and mark the retirement of Mrs Y Grimley and Mrs L McCrory.

We would also like to congratulate Mrs M Brennan and Miss M Farnon, who have been successful in replacing both ladies respectively. We wish them every success in their new roles and officially welcome them to our St John’s family.
